You’re at a bus stop surrounded by darkness. You can’t remember what brought you here, and beyond the comfort of its steel walls is an eerie emptiness. Why is your childhood pocket computer here… and how is it getting new messages?

Transfer Point is an all new adventure for your Macintosh® computer (or modern web browser). It combines point-and-click gameplay with the freedom and fun of typed commands. To unravel its mysteries, you’ll need to explore unusual places, solve peculiar puzzles, and find a decent Wi-Fi connection.

Transfer Point was created in World Builder, a program for the original Macintosh released in 1986. The game was made live on twitch.tv/robotspacer over the course of a year, with the help of many wonderful people.

You can play Transfer Point in your browser for free. Most modern web browsers are supported, including Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. You will need a physical keyboard (touch screen keyboards are not supported).

purchase the game and manual

You can purchase Transfer Point here to play it on your own classic Mac, or in an emulator. Purchases include two versions of the game, and a PDF of the illustrated manual. The 800K version fits on an 800K floppy disk, and requires a Macintosh® 512K Enhanced or later (Macintosh® Plus or later recommended). Mac OS 9 or earlier is required, and System 6 is recommended. The 400K version fits on a 400K floppy disk, and includes adjustments to make it compatible with earlier Macintosh® computers. Both versions are included as DSK files. You will be responsible for transferring the files to a floppy disk, or a device like BlueSCSI or Floppy Emu.
